Hardware Requirements#
Omniverse#
Omniverse runs on Windows and Linux based PCs, and requires an NVIDIA GPU to run. We recommend Windows 11 for developing and authoring your Vision Pro experiences, as GDN only supports deployment on Windows based environments.

Remote Desktop Requirements#
When remotely connecting to the Omniverse system via a remote desktop protocol, it’s important to consider the performance and compatibility of the remote desktop solution with the CloudXR Extensions. While this list isn’t exhaustive, it highlights some of the most commonly used remote desktop protocols and provides recommendations for optimal performance and compatibility.

While most remote desktop options are functional, Microsoft RDP is specifically not supported. For optimal performance, quality, and compatibility with the Omniverse XR extension, we recommend using Amazon DCV, HP Anywhere, VMware Horizon, or Parsec.
